What is Help Counter?

How do I sign up to help? How do I change my information? How do I see where help is needed? How do I input my hours? That’s what Help Counter is all about.

How to sign into Help Counter (English and Spanish)

Every volunteer should visit https://www.helpcounterweb.com/ci/volunteer to get set up and create a username/password.

You should also be checking your junk/spam folder in your e-mail to make sure you are not missing e-mails that come from the Volunteer Coordinator. If you have not received anything this year from the Volunteer Coordinator asking for help with various activities, it probably means they are going directly to your junk/spam folder in your e-mail. This is happening to so many people! Please take the time to check your junk/spam folder to make sure you are not missing out on amazing opportunities to help at your child’s school.

There is a new addition to the program this year. The district is asking all NON-parent volunteers to do a volunteer screening which includes a Background Check (paid for by the district) before helping out at the school or any school activity. There are two methods to register…(#1 is the preferred method by the district).

  1. Have the NON-parent volunteer go to the following web address to fill out the form online.
    www.helpcounterweb.com/welcome/?en=239799780– OR –
  2. Fill out the paper form and return to Holly Warner. (Available in the Byrom office.)
hwarner@ttsd.k12.or.us or 503-431-4083Once the form is submitted for a background check, the school will be contacted with either an approval or denial within a week. A screen shot of the application will be sent to the school to enter the information into their site if approved. The funding source is created by profits generated from The Scrip Service Center (our district fundraising operation that sells gift cards to schools and nonprofits in the Northwest).Thank you for taking the time to create your HelpCounter username and password to make sure you are informed and up to date with activities going on at Byrom. Remember to check your junk/spam folder to make sure you are not missing out on the important things happening at your child’s school!~Kimberly Vande Voorde (byromvolunteer@gmail.com)
